  • Coastal Discovery Museum
    • Tours, walks, programs, and exhibits about the Lowcountry. Events are scheduled daily throughout the month. 
  • Farmers Market of Bluffton
    • From Thursday, March 2nd through Thursday, December 28th at 1:00pm Bluffton hosts its weekly farmer’s market. Shop for fresh and local produce both organic and traditional. A variety of plants and flowers, nuts, herbs, honey, dairy, eggs, meat, and seafood can be found. Various specialty items such as kettle corn, spices, coffee and tea, smoothie boosters, jams, dips, and chutneys are available. Sweets, chocolates, and freshly baked goods and pastries are also offered for purchase. Sprouted breads, granolas, fresh pasta, sauces and more are available! Enjoy shopping locally in beautiful Bluffton on Calhoun Street!
  • Shops at Sea Pines Center Farmers’ Market
    • Every Tuesday from 10am-2pm the Shops at Sea Pines Center offers a farmers’ market featuring Lowcountry produce, crafts, artwork, food, plants, jewelry, and fashions.
  • SOBA Presents 12×12 Show
    • From November 6th-December 3rd the Society of Bluffton Artists presents its annual fall 12 x 12 Show. It’s a unique, interesting and challenging member exhibition in which each member may submit two 12 x 12-inch canvases. Each 12 x 12 is priced the same, $120 — in time for holiday art shopping. The art is the perfect size for groupings. It will fit in small spaces and is very easily shipped. The 12 x 12 artwork will be on display from November 6th to Dec 3rd at the gallery on Church Street in Old Town Bluffton. This show also serves as an important fundraiser for SoBA. The artists traditionally share a large portion of their commission with the gallery from this exhibition.
  • Society of Bluffton Artists Holiday Boutique
    • Artists of the Society of Bluffton Artists (SoBA) are preparing their creative wares for the Fifth Annual Holiday Boutique, scheduled for November 14th-December 22nd at the gallery’s Center for Creative Arts building next door. The boutique offers the community a unique place to shop for the holidays from local artists with a variety of creative items to choose from — including jewelry, cards, holiday decorations, small paintings, floral arrangements and fiber art. Prices range from $15 to $350.
  • Tis the Season at Shelter Cove Towne Centre
    • From November 20th-December 30th from 6-9pm enjoy the holiday season at the Shelter Cove Towne Centre for a lighting and entertainment spectacular! Nightly entertainment includes visits from Santa & Mrs. Claus, horse and carriage rides, train rides, a rock wall, skating rink, movies in the park and more! Park your car, stroll through the lights, and enjoy nightly events all while shopping and dining! Proceeds to benefit the Island Rec Center.
  • Harbour Town Lights
    • Enjoy the lights at Harbour Town from November 23rd-January 1st! Stroll along the Harbour and enjoy the illuminated seasonal figures, with the centerpiece of the display being a towering Christmas tree. Harbour Town is the perfect place to be this holiday season with live entertainment and activities. The official tree lighting will take place just prior to the Gregg Russell Concert on Friday, November 24 at 7:30 pm. Make a difference. While you’re enjoying the holiday season, you can help Deep Well make a difference in someone else’s life. Bring a canned good or two, or a new unwrapped child’s toy, and drop them in the “well” by the Liberty Oak stage. Since 1973, the non-profit, volunteer-based Deep Well has been serving the basic needs of the less fortunate on Hilton Head Island.
  • Outdoor Movie: “The Santa Clause”
    • Have your picture taken with Santa and watch a showing of the movie “The Santa Clause” under the Liberty Oak in Harbour Town December 2nd from 7-10 PM. Benches and a fire pit for roasting marshmallows will be provided. Admission is complimentary with the donation of a canned food item for the Deep Well Project.
  • Town of Bluffton Christmas Parade
    • Saturday, December 2nd is the Annual Town of Bluffton Christmas Parade at 10:00 am. Streets will begin closing at 8:00 am. All parade entries should arrive in their staging areas by 8:00 am. The parade ends at Red Cedar Elementary school.
  • Volunteers in Medicine Hilton Head Island Circle of Caring Gala
    • Join us December 2nd from 6:30-10:30 pm at the Westin Hilton Head Island Resort and Spa for music and dancing with Deas Guyz. Cocktail hour from 6-7 pm sponsored by Fidelity Investments and presenting sponsor Charter One Realty with a seated Dinner at 7 pm.
  • Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra
    • JOY TO THE WORLD! Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra December 3rd at 5 pm and December 4th at 8 pm at the First Presbyterian Church. John Morris Russell, Conductor, Phoebe Liu, Violin, 2017 First Prize Winner, HHSO Youth Concerto Competition, Hilton Head Island High School Chorus, Hilton Head Dance Theatre, and Savannah Children’s Choir. A Holiday Spectacular! Ring in the Season with John Morris Russell’s festive holiday music, featuring all our favorite guest soloists. This beloved event is a must!
  • Party in the Park
    • The 2018 Hilton Head Island – Bluffton Chamber Leadership Class is building an iconic piece of playground equipment, an Imagination Train, in Oscar Frazier Park. To kick off our project, they are throwing a “Party in the Park” on Saturday, December 3rd, from 1-4 pm! Featuring, Yummy Food from Melly Mels, Gullah Fried Sweets, and Gma on Ice, Bouncy Houses, Snow Cones, Music by Shane Marstiller, Corn Hole, Face Painting by Morgan’s Mommy’s Seashell Creations & Face Painting, and so much more to come! FREE admission for the entire community to come out have fun and get On Board for the Excitement of the Imagination Train!
  • Disney’s Newsies
    • Fresh off its First National Tour, the Arts Center is thrilled to produce the Carolinas’ premiere of Disney’s Tony Award-winning Newsies, with jubilant music by Alan Menken and book by Harvey Fierstein. The show puts the spotlight on high-flying dance with everything from tumbling to tap. Set in New York City at the turn of the century and inspired by the real-life Newsboys strike of 1899, Newsies is the rousing tale of a charismatic newsboy who dreams of a better life far from the streets. Production runs December 6th– December 31st at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina.
  • Outdoor Movie: “Home Alone”
    • Get into the holiday spirit by watching this classic movie under the Liberty Oak in Harbour Town December 9th from 7-10 pm. Benches and a fire pit for roasting marshmallows will be provided. Admission is complimentary with the donation of a canned food item for the Deep Well Project.
  • Holiday Hookup
    • A collaboration of local women in business offering gifts, glam and tastes of the season December 10th from 11 am- 6 pm at the Sonesta Resort. Holiday Hookup is providing the ultimate shopping experience for locals and guests to check off their Christmas shopping list with all of the favorite local shops in one place! Complete with Mimosa Station and sounds of the season and VIP opportunities. Shop, enjoy and give will be the theme of the day – Holiday Hookup is also hosting a silent auction to benefit local charity, Hopeful Horizons.
  • “Small, Medium(s), and Large” Featured at Society of Bluffton Artists Gallery in December
    • “Small, Medium(s), and Large” Featured at Society of Bluffton Artists Gallery in December 11th- December 31st. Larry Hughes is the December featured artist at the Society of Bluffton Artists (SoBA) gallery. His show “Small, Medium(s) and Large” will be an exhibit consisting of group works to include Ab-Originals, Southwest Suite, and Cave and Rock Art.  It will be on display from December 11-31. An opening reception is slated for 5-7p.m. Friday, December 15th at the Old Town Bluffton gallery. Hughes is a self-taught artist who “learned by osmosis” from his mother, Virginia S. Hughes, a fine professional watercolorist who painted for over 80 years. He started painting 11 years ago and today is represented in two galleries and private collections in 8 states.  He has studied with several regional teachers as well.
  • Tea at 5 Presented by Lean Ensemble Theater
    • Lean Ensemble Theater presents Tea at 5 by Matthew Lombardo. Enjoy a one-woman show with one of the greatest actresses, Katherine Hepburn. Journey with Kate from the fall of 1938 through the winter of 1983 as she relives her greatest successes, failures and of course, Spencer Tracy. Featuring Peggy Trecker White. Dates: December 14, 15, & 16 at 7:30 pm and December 17 at 2:00 pm at the Hilton Head Preparatory School Main Street Theatre.
  • Sounds of Christmas Concert
    • This joyful holiday treat features Carols Galore, Vivaldi’s Gloria and Christmas Movie Soundtracks and promises to be fun for all ages December 15th from 8 pm- 11 pm at the First Presbyterian Church. Tickets are now on sale. The Hilton Head Choral Society (HHCS) is the longest-running performing arts organization on Hilton Head Island and is an open membership organization to all who enjoy choral singing and fellowship. Now in its 42nd year, the HHCS’s extensive repertoire includes major classical and contemporary works as well as seasonal favorites, from opera to Broadway, classical masterworks to Pops, and commissioned works by world-class composers. In addition to the regular concert season, the HHCS frequently showcases internationally renowned vocal ensembles as part of the `HHCS Presents` series. The Hilton Head Choral Society is funded in part by the South Carolina Arts Commission, which receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts.

    • Put some happy in your holiday watching this Christmas classic under the Liberty Oak December 16th from 7 pm- 9 pm in Harbour Town. Benches and a fire pit for roasting marshmallows will be provided. Admission is complimentary with the donation of a canned food item for the Deep Well Project.
  • 17th Annual Polar Bear Swim
    • Show your adventurous side with the other “polar bears” by taking an invigorating dip into the Harbour Town Pool on a chilly winter day this December 31st. Warm up after your plunge with hot chocolate and refreshments.
  • New Year’s Eve Celebration
    • December 31st from 6- 12 pm is the New Year’s Eve ball drop from the top of the Harbour Town Lighthouse. Enjoy food, entertainment and live music throughout Harbour Town, then count down to the ball drop as we welcome the New Year! There will be two ball drops: 7 pm and midnight.
